Al-Rustaq Club celebrated the opening of the club’s new sports hall as part of the Sultanate’s celebration of the Omani Youth Day. The event was attended by retired pilot Major General Saleh bin Humaid Al Siyabi. The opening of the new facility comes as part of an integrated project on the club’s land that includes a grass field with stands, and an additional wide space for investment.
The sports hall can accommodate more than 500 people, each section with 200 seats, and a platform in between that can accommodate approximately 100 chairs. Furthermore, every section of the hall has a private entrance that includes dressing rooms with private bathrooms, three swimming pools, and washrooms for the audience. The hall also includes an exercise room, conference rooms for meetings and lectures, and administrative offices with two kitchens for preparing drinks and meals. The completion of the sports hall is considered a youth achievement to contain young people’s skills and develop their talents.
Additionally, Ibrahim bin Muhammad Al-Salmi, President of Al-Rustaq Club, expressed his pleasure at the opening of the hall, which represents an important starting point for creating competencies in the fields of athletics, as well as other types of sports such as handball, basketball, and volleyball, and to accommodate varied interests. The president of Al-Rustaq Club stressed that the administration aims to run and operate the hall in a way that serves sports activities and promotes the talents of young people.
