Under the slogan “Peace in Oman Peace Track”, the cyclists Nouh bin Salem Al Kalbani and Ghaith bin Hamad Al Bahri, from the Al Dhahirah amateur team, make a cycling trip from Musandam Governorate to Dhofar. Al Dahra Amateur Team is one of the teams that contribute to attracting the energies of youth and serving the community.
Nouh Al-Kalbani said: The Al-Dhahirah amateur team is the first team that cares about the various hobbies of young people; including cycling, and we always try to achieve many positive goals in order to diversify sports. Adding: Through these sports, we always aspire to universality and professionalism; Sports are known to highlight the tourist attractions of countries; Therefore, through this trip, we aim at Al Dhahirah Amateur Team to highlight the tourist and historical landmarks in the wilayats of Oman and to show some of its features and aesthetics, and to promote domestic tourism to all wilayat, especially in the Wilayat of Salalah and its embrace of the Salalah Tour 2021, amid distinguished media coverage.
Al Kalbani continued, “The trip aims to introduce cycling and travel in the Sultanate, in addition to encouraging Omani youth to practice cycling, and employ them for travel, exploration, and adventures, as well as the creation of visual content with an interesting theme that combines the aesthetics of Oman, sports and adventure. In addition, the trips aid in introducing the Al Dhahirah amateur team, and the different activities it engages in and the promotion of tourism and community services.
As for the trip program, Al-Kalbani said: The departure will be from the ferry in the Wilayat of Shinas to the Governorate of Musandam to prepare for departure, and the journey from the Wilayat of Bkha to the Wilayat of Khasab, and then departing again on the ferry from Musandam to the Wilayat of Shinas, passing through the wilayats of North Al Batinah to Muscat, and then The rest in Muscat for one day, and then the departure to the interior, specifically the state of Nizwa, then the rest in Nizwa for one day, or according to the conditions of the trip, and then the departure to Haima, and then Salalah.
